Tara M. Swartz founded Swartz Law in 2011 after practicing for many years as an associate and partner at several plaintiff employment law firms in Boston. Her founding philosophy is to provide dedicated one-on-one service in a compassionate and cost effective manner utilizing experience, knowledge and advocacy to successfully resolve legal claims. While Attorney Swartz can and will aggressively litigate cases, she understands that many cases are better and more quickly resolved through amicable, less costly measures such as negotiation and mediation. Collaboration is crucial in every case. Attorney Swartz works with you not just for you. From the outset she takes the time to understand your issues and concerns, outlines your options and helps you assess the time and expense of each potential avenue available to you so you can make an informed decision about how to proceed given your goals. She then works tirelessly to achieve those goals. Whether in negotiations or in the courtroom, Attorney Swartz provides you with the skill and advocacy you need and deserve at every stage.
Over the years Attorney Swartz has been repeatedly named to the Massachusetts and New England ‘Rising Stars’ and ‘Super Lawyers’ List in the field of labor and employment. Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The annual selections are made using a patented multiphase process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates and peer reviews by practice area. The result is a credible, comprehensive and diverse listing of exceptional attorneys. Only 5 percent of lawyers in each state are selected to the Super Lawyers list and 2.5 percent to the Rising Stars list annually.
Attorney Swartz served as the Chair of the Amicus Committee for the Massachusetts Chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Association from 2012-2014. She is a regular lecturer at employment law seminars and conferences. She is a dual degree graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, where she was a full-scholarship athlete on the Women’s Gymnastics Team, and Northeastern University School of Law.
